Sports Center

All daytime activities on Sunday and Monday except the Quality Church Initiative will be located at the Sports Center 3801 Mall Road Lexington, KY 40503.

Sports Fees

If you plan to participate in any activities at the gym we kindly ask that you make a one time donation of $10 per person, with a maximum of $40 per family to help offset costs. This covers all activities for Sunday and Monday at the gym. A table will be set up at the gym to receive your donation.

Sports Center Food

This year we’ll be serving freshly made chicken or vegetable broth Ramen noodle bowls. Topped with your choice of beef, chicken or lamb and/or boiled egg.  There will be  zoodles (vegetable noodles) available for a gluten free option too. We’ll also offer vegetable stir fry topped with your choice of grilled meat over rice. 

Or you might want to try Chef Keri’s personal favorite…. jungle curry. A peanut sauce based red curry. It’s nutty, slightly sweet, topped with Thai basil &/or cilantro, if desired. It’s delicious!!

You can also get a tasty Asian salad available topped with your choice of grilled meat. 

Of course we will still have your regular favorites grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, chicken fingers, fries or tater tots and chili. 

Speaking of chili!  What’s Winter Family Weekend without eggs incognito (if you know, you know!) for breakfast! There will be pancakes, toast and sausage. 

Whatever you choose for breakfast, lunch and dinner you will be treated to a wide variety of delicious options all while helping to cover the cost of the Weekend.  It’s a win-win for everyone!

Kidz Zone

This special spot at the Sports Center is reserved especially for the youngest among us.  Children aged infant-6 years old are invited to hang out with their friends and parents. A variety of toys are available for open play and plenty of chairs for parents to sit and chat while supervising. Sunday and Monday 9:00 AM-5:00PM

Wii

We have several fun family-friendly Wii games to share with you this year, including Wii Sports and the ever popular Mario Kart! Parents challenge your kids to a race or have a sibling battle in a game of Wii tennis. These games and more will be available to play both days at the Sports Center Sunday and Monday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. Be sure to check them out!

Volleyball

Both recreational and competitive volleyball will be available at the Sports Center, Sunday and Monday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.  If you haven’t already registered with a team, you can sign up and join a team once you arrive.

Competitive:    Whether you’ll be bringing a full team or are an individual looking to be placed on a team contact Jezreel Houtz at shikerwolf@gmail.com. Competitive volleyball is for people playing at the A/B level. Please let Jezreel know if you have any questions. He’s happy to help!

Recreational:     Are you a B/C level player or new to the sport altogether? Then recreational volleyball is just the place for you! You’ll find the rec side to be a bit more laid back with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow your volleyball skills. Please contact Anna Hagen at bcmomtoo@gmail.com to sign up your full team or as an individual looking for a team .

Although early sign-up is much preferred and really helpful for planning there will also be competitive and recreational sign-up sheets at the gym.

Pickleball

This paddle sport has elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Fun to play and watch.

Don’t worry if you don’t know how to play, we can teach you! Sunday and Monday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

9 Square and Gaga Ball

While enjoying all the fun activities the Sports Center has to offer, don’t forget to check out our fun inflatable competitive games! Back by popular demand, 9 Square and Gaga Ball will be available all day Sunday and Monday.

Open Court Basketball

This year we are excited to offer Open Court Basketball! Gather your friends for a quick pick-up game, a round of HORSE or a 3-pointer competition! Open Court Basketball will be available all day Sunday (12/25) and Monday (12/26) at the Sports Center from 9 am to 5pm.

Nerf Wars 

Let the Nerf Wars begin!  Make up teams of 6 players or come as an individual and be assigned to a team.  Bring your own gun or use one of ours.  Multiple games will be offered Sunday and Monday 10::00 AM-12:00 PM at the Sports Center

Open to all ages.

Crafts

All day Sunday and Monday at the gym we invite you to find a place at the craft table and enjoy some time making fun things to take home and enjoy. A variety of crafting options will be available. Check it out!
