“A Grassroots Movement of Cooperation and Unity by The People of God”

The Call of the Prophet

March 5, 2021

Hi Friend,

There was a time when a man by the name of Isaiah had a revelation from God. In our vernacular we might say, ‘The light bulb came on!”   Isaiah was excited about the message. It would change the world. He hurried for the door on his way to help save what was left of God’s chosen people.

About the time his hand touched the door latch, God said to him, “They won’t listen.”

Things haven’t changed a lot. The alarm sirens are sounding all around but man seems deaf to the Prophet’s clarion call.  We are expected to pretend that the most obvious truths of creation do not exist.  How can a small minority of corporate fascists gain control of a free country?  Because the people have closed their minds to instruction from God. For example, New York Congressman Jerry Nadler just announced that God’s will is no concern of Congress.

A few years ago the actor and writer Ben Stein was invited to be commencement speaker at the University of Vermont.  In an embarrassing and clumsy political reaction University President Daniel Fogel rescinded the invitation because of what he called Stein’s “highly controversial views” about “evolutionary theory, intelligent design, and the role of science in the Holocaust.”

Catch that last phrase, “the role of science in the Holocaust.” Apparently Dr. Fogel does not like the association of science with the mass murder of millions of humans. But it was scientists that conspired to commit genocide against the Jews and designed gas chambers to be more efficient killing machines. Another doctor, Josef Mengele, the Angel of Death, was the university educated architect of the method of destruction. Did his scientific training omit an essential part of the educational process?

Fogel went on to express penance for inviting Stein by claiming that “Commencement should be a time when our community gathers inclusively, not divisively.”

Interesting that about 90 percent of the country believes in God, yet it is divisive for an academic institution to even consider the possibility that God may have created the world. Maybe it’s the other 10 percent causing division.

Recent surveys have shown that a significant proportion of Americans believe our country will suffer a major terrorist attack from militants supported by Iran.  And yet our leaders are bent on the politics of appeasement.

How did America get in this predicament? We need direction from God, but our leaders are blind.  There was a Prophet by the name of Ezekiel who lived in a time like ours. “Mortal man,” he said, “you are living among rebellious people. They have eyes, but they see nothing; they have ears, but they hear nothing, because they are rebellious.”  (Ezekiel 12:2 GNB)

A person has to ask himself, “Should I listen to a university president or a news media that refuses information from the only source of wisdom that can help?”

God has made every reasonable effort to reach man.  Jesus once said to his followers, “Listen, then, if you have ears! Now, to what can I compare the people of this day? They are like children sitting in the marketplace. One group shouts to the other, ‘We played wedding music for you, but you wouldn’t dance! We sang funeral songs, but you wouldn’t cry!’”  (Matt. 11:15-17)

How many times did Jesus say, “If any man have ears to hear let him hear?”  No other human being has had such a positive impact on the world as Jesus. More than any other man, Jesus changed civilization for better. Scientists, on the other hand, sometimes make more noise than sense.

The good news is that you can still find the Prophet if you search—but you won’t find him in the mainstream media.  Some churches are still open. There is time.  The eternal truth is that those who trust God will be given ears to hear.

Until next time,

Jim O’Brien
