Alex Shore is a Certified Financial Planner® (2008) and AIF (2023) professional. With extensive experience throughout major shifts in the financial markets, Alex Shore has provided personalized planning and investment management services to individuals and families in the Knoxville area for nearly two decades. After earning his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Alex worked as a hardware and software designer before returning to Knoxville to develop Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scanners for medical imaging. Eager to take on new challenges and encouraged by an uncle who was an Army test pilot, Alex became an instrument-rated pilot himself. His interest in exploring new places and meeting new people has taken him to Africa, Japan, Thailand, and many European countries. Away from the office, Alex spends his free time with his family and friends. He especially enjoys flying, swimming, water and snow skiing. He helps officiate youth swim meets and introduces scouts to aviation through the Young Eagles program. Alex supports several local ministry organizations and, now, with two children in college, two universities as well.
